Limits of a bioeconomy: Sustainable pathways to circular solutions through Nordic co-operation

The Nordic Green Growth Research and Innovation Programme and the Nordic Bioeconomy Programme, survey the limits of bioeconomy and present ways to advance the circular economy in the Nordic countries.

Time: Thursday 1 June at 12:00–16:00 EEST (UTC+3)
Place: Think Corner, Tiedekulma, Yliopistonkatu 4, Helsinki and online

This session will illustrate how the Nordic nations can formulate sustainable solutions and products by using industrial by-products and public waste. It also examines how the regional, national and EU legislation affects the implementation of the European Green Growth agenda. Not all regions have the same capability to use the latest technology. We present scenarios, the Nordic bioeconomy pathways, for a sustainable use of natural resources.

This session is in line with the Nordic countries’ endeavours to reach the UN SDGs and the Nordic region’s considerable contribution to green growth.
