BotH2nia goes Helsinki field tour

Visit the first hydrogen movers in the Helsinki metropolitan area and learn about hydrogen production technology. Before the tour, come and hear what it takes from a public private partnership to start producing fossil free steel.

This tour will take you to see three sites linked to the production of hydrogen: Elcogen manufactures electrolysis cells, Valmet manufactures the valves necessary for hydrogen production and at VTT’s Bioruukki pilot centre we’ll see equipment needed to produce synthetic fuels. But before all that, we will visit Helsinki City Hall and hear from a small neighbouring municipality, a steel startup, a big energy company and an ambitious plan that includes hydrogen.
